Ogun state to hold democracy day with special prayer, commemorative lecture

The Ogun State Government has organized several activities to celebrate this year’s Democracy Day on Wednesday, June 12.

According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, a special memorial prayer will be held at the family house of the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola in Oja Agbo, Gbagura, Abeokuta at 8:00 am.

Following the prayer, there will be a commemorative lecture on the theme “June 12: A Defining Moment in The Democratic Development in Nigeria,” which will be delivered by a Public Affairs Analyst, Mr. Richard Akinnola. The lecture will commence at 10:00 am at the Hubert Ogunde Hall, June 12 Cultural Centre Kuto, Abeokuta.
