Lisabi Youth Champions League: CGFC fixed in groups D and E

Lisabi Youth Champions League, LYCL released their draws for the competition, yesterday, 22nd January 2024, via their Facebook page.

Chosen Generation Football Club, CGFC, professional youth, and the feeder’s team have been fixed in groups D, and E for the the competition.

In an interview with the Chairman/Proprietor of Choosen Generation Football Club and Choosen Generation Angels Football Club, Agbagu Victor, yesterday he explained how he feels for his club to be part of the competition, what fans should look forward to how the competition runs and alighted why there will be two participation from his club.

According to him, “We are drawn in Group D and E at the Lisabi Youth Champions League. The draw is good as we are facing some teams for the first time in this tournament”.

“Chosen Generation Football Club, CGFC shall take each match as it comes intending to qualify from the group stage first before we start planning for another level”

He proceeds “The fans should expect a robust football played by young kids that are going to positively change the face of football in Nigeria in the nearest future”.

“We want to put our playing philosophy to the test against the big teams and learn one or two things from other teams as well”.

“We have the Main Team and Feeders Team in the competition, cause It is important for both teams to have a taste of an excellent and well-packaged tournament to improve the growth and development of players”.

“Some of the players in the feeders team will eventually take over from players in the main team hence, the exposure starts now”

Lastly, “100 of training doesn’t amount to a friendly match while 100 of friendly matches doesn’t amount to a competition match, this is because there are different scenarios and rules attached to them”.
