DSAPOLY matriculated 3,756 new students for the 2023/2024 academic
D S Adegbenro I.C.T Polytechnic, DSApoly, Itori, Ewekoro, Ogun State, has matriculated 3,756 new students, who met the condition for admission criteria for the 2023/2024 academic session.
The event was held on Thursday, 16th May 2024, at the Mass Communication Studio’s Auditorium, Students were admitted into the School of Management Science and Technology, The School of Engineering, and The School of Communication and Information, technology.
The epoch-making event in attendance is, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), represented by the state coordinator, Mr. Abdulhammed Akeem, The Rector of D S Adegbenro I.C.T polytechnic, DSApoly, Dr. Goke Rauf, many principal officers of the Institution and eminent personnel.
The Rector, Dr. Goke Rauf, while speaking at the institution’s 18th matriculation ceremony and first since his appointment as the Rector of the institution charged the newly admitted students to adhere to the polytechnic’s regulations and contribute responsibly to the institution.
Dr. Rauf, in his speech as he described the institution has a well-disciplined institution where all tenets of moral uprightness are uphold as part of the Polytechnic core values. Where acts of laziness, insubordination and other acts of misconducts such as Cultism is seriously not condoned.
He appealed to parents to closely monitor their children and engage them in productive activities to keep them away from negative influences. He encouraged the new students to steer clear of activities that could harm their future prospects
Dr. Rauf highlighted that the institution is not just a place for academic learning but also an environment that fosters growth, critical thinking, and innovation. He advised students to seize opportunities to broaden their horizons and follow their passions. The Rector reiterated the institution’s dedication to a curriculum designed to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
Additionally, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), represented by the state coordinator, Mr. Abdulhammed Akeem, emphasized the importance of higher education institutions adhering strictly to admission regulations.
While delivering his address Ambassador Toye Okanlawon, Chairman of the institution’s council, announced plans to introduce new state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge programs, and strategic partnerships to enhance the students learning experience and career opportunities. He urged the matriculating students to embrace the values of discipline and critical thinking, which would benefit them throughout their academic and professional lives.
