CGFC/CGAFC 2023 performance rises further, club gains promotion.
Chosen Generation Football Club (CGFC), and Chosen Generation Angels FC (CGAFC), (Formerly Football Girls’ Co-Curricular Academy), Showcased the club’s worth and performed excellence in all competitions throughout 2023.
This has earned and moved The club to a progressive Stage, where The Chosen Generation Football Club (CGFC) U19, is participating in Nationwide League One- Division 2 (National U19 Youth League), and Chosen Generation Angels FC (CGAFC), will participate in 2023/2024 WAFA LEAGUE.
Also, credit Collins Victoria of Chosen Generation Angels Football Club (CGAFC), as she emerges the highest goal scorer in the NWFL-NATIONWIDE League, with six (6) goals in four (4) matches.

According to the proprietor and director of the club, Agbagu Victor “Chosen Generation Football Club and Chosen Generation Angels FC (Formerly Football Girls’ Co-Curricular Academy) was founded in 2016 although the female team has been in existence since 2011. The clubs are situated in Wasimi, Ewekoro Local Government of Ogun state”.
“The vision is to groom players between 6 – 23 years to stardom through excellent training and instilling of moral values. Also, the education of our players is paramount as it is also a pathway to success for these educated sportsmen and sportswomen”.
He explained further “The club participates both in grassroots competitions, Ogun state Football Association competitions and National Competitions where they have garnered experience over the years”
“The Professional Development Category of the club which is U19 Category currently plays in the Nationwide League One- Division 2 (National U19 Youth League) which is the 4th – Tier of the National League in Nigeria. The team has also participated in the Ogun State League since 2019 till date”.
“The female professional side also plays in the Ogun State League and other grassroots tournaments. Just this year, the female team – Chosen Generation Angels Football Club, completed affiliation with the Women Accredited Football Academies and Female Football Academy Proprietors (WAFA/FEFAP) where the girls would be opportune to participate in the 2023/2024 WAFA LEAGUE”.
“In 2023, Chosen Generation Angels FC participated for the first time in the NWFL-NATIONWIDE League played at Benin City in Edo state. The team came second in group A and as a result of this great feat, the team has qualified to play in the NWFL-CHAMPIONSHIP in 2024. Also, Collins Victoria of Chosen Generation Angels Football Club, a 15-year-old secondary school girl became the highest goal scorer of the League with 6 goals in 4 matches”.
Lastly, he said “The team look forward to a wonderful 2024 and build on the experiences garnered on the National Scenes to perform better and get to the next level”.
