Akinale Baptist Church inducts Rev. Oyamakin
Akinale Baptist Church recently inducted Reverend Matthew Oluwole Oyamakin as its new pastor.
The induction service took place on Sunday, May 26, 2024, and was attended by notable figures including the wife of Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, Towulade of Akinale, Olori Olanike Ogunleye, and other Akinale chieftains, Rev Z.O Tanigbola, Rev.J.O Fagbenro, Rev. J.O Ayanlade, Rev. A.I.T Olabode as well as various Baptist church reverends.
Reverend Matthew Oluwole Oyamakin was born on October 8, 1967, at Wasinmi Railway Station to the family of Pa and Mrs David Adetunji Ejilere Oyamakin, in Ogbomoso south LGA, Oyo State.
He accepted Christ on July 21, 1985, and later pursued his education at various institutions, including Baptist Central School Wasinmi Railway Station, United Comprehensive High School Wasinmi, and Baptist College of Theology Oyo.
In addition to his formal education, Reverend Oyamakin also pursued various spiritual studies and held several positions in different churches, serving in roles such as R.A Treasurer, Sunday School Teacher, church organist, youth pastor, children Sunday school teacher, drama ministry pastor, and choir master at different churches.
Aside from his spiritual endeavors, Reverend Oyamakin also gained working experience in various fields, including roles at Total filling stations, Ewekoro cement factory, Elere palm kernel farm, and as a security officer.
Reverend Oyamakin married Mrs. Janet Oludayo Oyamakin in November 2013.
